Java Programming
University of Helsinki
An introductory Java course from the University of Helsinki in 14 parts, each with exercises you solve in an IDE and that the Test My Code service checks automatically. The first seven parts go from printing and loops to objects and basic testing; the rest cover hash maps, inheritance, streams, generics and JavaFX, ending with an Asteroids game. The university lists it as a legacy course, so the material is no longer updated.
What you'll learn
- Variables, conditionals, loops and methods
- Lists, arrays and reading data from files
- Classes, objects and references
- Grouping data with hash maps
- Inheritance, interfaces and processing collections as streams
- Building graphical interfaces with JavaFX
